A Life With Significance: Leaving a Legacy Through Charitable Planned Giving

A Life with Significance is a book that focuses on unique ways that people have left a legacy through charitable planned giving programs. Most people want to know that after they die, their lives meant something to other people besides their families. Whether rich or poor, this book provides easy to understand examples of how donors have used life insurance, stocks, or real estate to make sizeable gifts at death and in most cases provide substantial tax benefits while they are alive.

The Last Tithe

We CAN change the world if we all add The Last Tithe to our will or trust. In the next 20 years, five trillion dollars of assets will pass from one generation to the next. This could provide hundreds of billions of dollars for churches, charities, and missions around the world.

The Last Tithe is a charitable bequest in a will or trust that directs the personal representative (executor of the will) or trustee of the trust to first pay an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the value of the estate to charity. The deceased will have already created a list of charities to share in this distribution. After this distribution is made then the beneficiaries receive their inheritances.

This book will deal with issues like what impact this will have on you during your lifetime; what will be the impact on your heirs; what about those with no children; what about those who want to leave nothing to heirs; and more.
